Mission Statement
Developing Education is a new initiative with the goal of providing photography education in a basic and accessible way, for people at all skill levels. Drawing from my experience with photography and my own thirst for knowledge of even the most esoteric topics, I’ve decided to start providing my services educating all those who are interested in learning more about the art of photography. Each one on one session is planned in advance based on the topics you’re interested in learning, from bare bones basics, to the technical complexities of your camera. Sessions are at your pace and in your neighborhood, or virtually thanks to the wonders of the internet!
Bare Bones Basics
If you’ve just brought your new camera home and have no idea where to get started, start here! From basic camera operation, to composition, finding good light indoors and outdoors, everything you need to know to run out and go shooting!
Mastering Manual Mode
This is the key to harnessing the full creativity of your camera, embracing the manual mode on your camera. We’ll go over all of the basics, but emphasize the main pillars of exposure: shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, and how they relate to what you’re interested in shooting.
Testing Technicalities
For all the gear heads, we can discuss what gear is best for you, which lenses work best for what subjects, and how different types of cameras work. If you ever wondered the difference between wide angle and telephoto, SLR versus Mirrorless, after we’re done you’ll be an expert yourself!
